Philip Jessup International Debate & Moot Court Competition

BT Partnership Law Firm as a sponsor in Philip Jessup International Debate, together with Indonesian Society for International Law (“ISIL”) was commencing the 4th Indonesia National Rounds for the 2005 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.

The event was scheduled on 29th and 30th January 2005 Santika Hotel and was followed from several state owned and private university in Indonesia such as University of Gajah Mada in West Java (Jogjakarta) , University of Padjajaran, University of Indonesia, University of North Sumatra and many others.

The Team of the debate was about shipping law or known as “Maritime Law” each university was represented by 5 – 6 people. The competition was won by the Faculty of University of Indonesia, where the candidates who has won this competition, will be send to Washington DC, in order to participate in a competition against several students from university abroad.

First day of the competition, 29th of January was held from 08.00 am till 19.30, schedule for the Semi-Finalist Announcement. While on Sunday, 30th January 2005 from 9.30 am till 18.00 p.m. was schedule for the Closing Ceremony.

And as a sponsor, BT Partnership Law Firm was appointed to extend the award for the Second Cup Runner Up, during the closing ceremony. The award which has a value, was given as our contribution and our concern towards the needs of education in Indonesia especially students in all over University in Indonesia.
